CVE-2026-55747Network attack vector

Arbitrary file access via uncontained path joins

Published Aug 5, 2026 · Updated Aug 5, 2026

Path traversal in PocketFlow's coding-agent cookbook example allows attackers to read or write files outside its configured work directory. The _path helper passes agent-supplied paths directly to os.path.join without canonicalizing them or verifying that the result remains under workdir. Any deployment that runs the example and lets an agent control file-tool arguments exposes local files to disclosure or modification within the process account's permissions.
