Unauthenticated device reboot via invalid BACnet month
Published Jul 24, 2026 · Updated Jul 24, 2026
Out-of-bounds read in LOYTEC LINX firmware 8.4.18 and earlier allows remote attackers to reboot affected BACnet devices. The bacdt_datetime_to_tod parser uses an invalid month from a TimeSynchronization or UTC-TimeSynchronization packet to index beyond the bacdt_days_till_month table, crashing linx_a64.exe. No authentication is required; repeated packets restart the core-services process and ultimately reboot the device, interrupting multiple functions.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
