Admin takeover via unauthenticated password-change request
Published Apr 5, 2026 · Updated Apr 5, 2026
Cross-site request forgery in Technostrobe HI-LED-WR120-G2 5.5.0.1R6.03.30 allows remote attackers to change an admin password. The /LoginCB handler processes a cross-origin POST containing a user ID and replacement password without a CSRF token, origin validation, session check, or current-password verification. A victim browser must reach the controller and load an attacker-controlled page; the resulting credential change permits administrative access and locks out the prior administrator.
