Draft disclosure via group activity serialization
Published Aug 17, 2026 · Updated Aug 17, 2026
Missing authorization in Discourse before 2026.1.6, 2026.5.2, 2026.6.1, and 2026.7.0 lets remote authenticated users read shared-draft content. The group posts and group mentions endpoints serialized results from Group.posts_for and Group.mentioned_posts_for until filter_posts_for_guardian excluded SharedDraft topics for guardians who could not see shared drafts. Exposure requires an account that can view the target group's activity; the disclosed data is limited to unpublished shared-draft titles and post excerpts.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
