Authenticated maintenance record disclosure via missing authorization
Published Aug 19, 2026 · Updated Aug 19, 2026
Missing authorization in Snipe-IT before 8.6.3 allows remote authenticated users to read maintenance records via /maintenances/{id}. MaintenancesController::show() renders the maintenance view with a bound Maintenance object and omits the asset-view authorization check that sibling actions enforce. Any activated account in the same company can reuse or enumerate maintenance IDs to expose asset tags, suppliers, purchase costs, notes, and dates, while company-scoped binding still blocks cross-company reads.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
