Administrator-level code execution via unvalidated update repository
Published Oct 13, 2026 · Updated Oct 13, 2026
Code injection in FearlessCMS before 0.1.3b allows remote authenticated users to execute PHP via the system updater's repository URL. In Fearless Geek Media's CMS, admin/updater-handler.php passes an administrator-supplied URL to update.sh, which clones unverified content and replaces live plugins/, admin/, and includes/ directories. Administrator access is required; router.php lets the PHP development server execute planted plugin PHP files with web server process privileges, enabling persistent backdoors.
