Unauthenticated file disclosure via encoded path separators
Published Jun 26, 2026 · Updated Jun 26, 2026
Path traversal in LabStack Echo before 4.15.3 and 5.0.0 through 5.1.1 allows remote attackers to read protected static files. The router matches RawPath with an encoded separator intact, but StaticDirectoryHandler decodes it before resolving the filesystem path. Exposure requires a protected route prefix and a broader static-file root; successful requests disclose files without granting write access.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
