CVE-2026-55667Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Out-of-scope deletion via unguarded symlink-following cleanup

Published Jun 25, 2026 · Updated Jun 25, 2026

Path traversal in File Browser before 2.63.16 allows remote authenticated users to delete out-of-scope files through failed uploads. ScopedFs.RemoveAll skips the symlink guard, and failed direct-upload cleanup passes it a user-controlled path under Create permission. An escaping directory symlink must already exist inside the scoped directory; a create-only user can then recursively delete other tenants' data or the application database.
