Metadata disclosure via access-rule-bypassing forms endpoint
Published Jul 10, 2026 · Updated Jul 10, 2026
Improper authorization in grist-core before 1.7.15 allows remote authenticated users to disclose restricted table and column metadata. The GET /forms endpoint reads metadata through a path that bypasses document access rules and accepts sections that are not forms. Partial document read access is sufficient; on publicly viewable documents, public access can expose otherwise hidden structure.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
