Local self-XSS via unsanitized Text Widget rendering
Published Sep 15, 2026 · Updated Sep 15, 2026
Stored XSS in Outerbase Studio 0.10.2 and earlier allows local users to execute JavaScript through a crafted dashboard Text Widget. TextComponent in src/components/chart/index.tsx passes the widget's unsanitized text to dangerouslySetInnerHTML, so event-handler markup runs when rendered. Exploitation requires the same user to create and view the widget; current client-side storage limits impact to self-XSS without token, account, or backend database exposure.
