Connection-process crash via truncated Client Control PDU
Published Jul 20, 2026 · Updated Jul 20, 2026
Out-of-bounds read in xrdp 0.10.6 and earlier allows remote attackers to crash a connection process via a truncated Client Control PDU. The xrdp_rdp_process_data_control parser reads network fields without first confirming that the PDU contains enough bytes. No authentication is required, but default per-connection forking confines the reported crash to the child handling the malicious connection.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
