Cross-site scripting via unchecked iframe URL
Published Jul 7, 2026 · Updated Jul 7, 2026
Cross-site scripting in Dashy before 4.3.7 allows attackers to execute JavaScript through a crafted workspace link. The workspace view decodes the url query value and assigns it directly to an iframe source without validating or restricting its scheme. A logged-in user must open the link; the script then runs on the Dashy origin, where it can read same-origin data, alter the DOM, and issue requests as the victim.
