Unauthenticated SQL injection via unescaped login username
Published Oct 14, 2026 · Updated Oct 14, 2026
SQL injection in e107 alt_auth before 2.3.7 allows remote attackers to read or modify external database data via login usernames. The login() methods in otherdb_auth.php and e107db_auth.php interpolate the username into SQL and execute it with PDO::query() before sanitization. Exploitation requires alt_auth installed with a live otherdb or e107db connection; database-account privileges bound data access, and query failures additionally disclose generated SQL through debug messages.
