CVE-2026-5556Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Authenticated code execution via untrusted extension loading

Published Apr 5, 2026 · Updated Apr 5, 2026

Code injection in Earendil Inc. Pi 0.58.0 through 0.58.4 allows remote authenticated users to execute code through extension loading. discoverAndLoadExtensions enumerates JavaScript or TypeScript files and symlinks in project and user extension directories, then imports each path with jiti without establishing that its contents are trusted. Exploitation requires authenticated remote influence over a discovered or configured extension path; loaded code runs with the Pi process user's filesystem, process, network, and credential access.
