Authenticated catalog tampering via unchecked MCP product tools
Published Jul 20, 2026 · Updated Jul 20, 2026
Missing authorization in NextCRM 0.12.1 allows remote authenticated users to modify the shared CRM product catalog through MCP tools. The crm_create_product, crm_update_product, and crm_delete_product handlers perform database writes without the requireRole check used by normal server actions. A low-privileged user needs a self-generated MCP Bearer token and can create, alter, archive, or soft-delete organization-wide product records.
