Arbitrary file rewrite via missing approval gate
Published Aug 25, 2026 · Updated Aug 25, 2026
Missing authorization in PraisonAI before 4.6.58 and praisonaiagents before 1.6.58 allows attackers to rewrite writable files. The ast_grep_rewrite tool passes agent-controlled pattern, replacement, and path values to ast-grep with --update-all but lacks the approval decorator and workspace path validation used by sibling mutation tools. Reachability requires an operator to run an agent with the code_intelligence tool surface and accept attacker-influenced input; modified imported or executed files can lead to code execution.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
