Authenticated telemetry disclosure and control manipulation
Published Aug 28, 2026 · Updated Aug 28, 2026
Missing authorization in the Yamcs Core API before 5.12.8 and 5.13.0 through 5.13.1 allows remote authenticated users to alter operations. IndexesApi returns packet and event index metadata without ReadPacket checks, while Cop1Api and TimeApi change link state and simulation time without required system-privilege checks. Any authenticated account, including an unprivileged Guest, can disclose telemetry metadata, disrupt telecommand handling, or distort simulation-dependent processing.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
