Storage credential modification via missing write-scope guard
Published Jul 31, 2026 · Updated Jul 31, 2026
Incorrect authorization in Cloudreve before 4.17.0 allows remote authenticated users to modify OneDrive policy credentials via an admin API. The signin route inherits Admin.Read but omits the Admin.Write guard, then GetOauthRedirectService.GetOAuth() upserts caller-supplied secret and app_id values into the selected policy. Exploitation requires an admin-authorized OAuth bearer token with Admin.Read and an existing OneDrive policy; it can break storage access or redirect later OAuth setup to attacker-controlled application parameters.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
