Stored CSS injection via unvalidated branding colors
Published Jul 10, 2026 · Updated Jul 10, 2026
Stored CSS injection in Grokability Snipe-IT before 8.6.2 allows remote authenticated users to inject CSS into authenticated pages. The base default.blade.php layout inserts header_color and related branding values into a style block with HTML escaping instead of CSS-context validation, so crafted values can close a property and create new rules. Exploitation requires superadmin access, and the injected rules reach active users on their next authenticated page load when Content Security Policy is disabled.
