Formula execution via unescaped User-Agent CSV field
Published Jul 10, 2026 · Updated Jul 10, 2026
CSV formula injection in Snipe-IT 8.6.1 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to trigger formulas when a report viewer opens an export. Actionlog::logaction() stores the request User-Agent, and ReportsController::postActivityReport() passes it to fputcsv() without formula escaping. A low-privileged account can plant the value, but execution requires a report viewer to export the Activity Report and open it in spreadsheet software.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
