File disclosure via unconstrained path resolution
Published Jun 22, 2026 · Updated Jun 22, 2026
Path traversal in LangChain before 1.3.9 and langchain-anthropic before 1.4.6 allows attackers to read files outside configured roots. File-search middleware accepts escaping glob segments and follows symlinked matches, loaders resolve untrusted path fields without containment checks, and prefix authorization omits path-segment boundaries. Exploitation requires untrusted paths, patterns, configuration, or agent-controlled workspace content to reach an affected component; trusted-only callers are not affected.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
