Stored HTML injection via unescaped agent logs
Published Jul 8, 2026 · Updated Jul 8, 2026
Stored HTML injection in Coder allows remote authenticated users with workspace-owner access to alter dashboard content through agent logs. The AgentLogLine component passes ansi-to-html output created without escapeXML enabled into dangerouslySetInnerHTML, rendering log-supplied HTML as live markup. Exploitation requires another user to view the workspace page; CSP blocks inline scripts, but redirects, UI redressing, CSS-based data exposure, and image beacons remain possible.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
