Public app exposure via unchecked sharing level
Published Jul 8, 2026 · Updated Jul 8, 2026
Missing authorization in Coder allows remote authenticated users to expose workspace apps publicly through sub-agent registration. The CreateSubAgent RPC persists the requested sharing level without comparing it with the template's MaxPortSharingLevel, allowing PUBLIC access despite an owner-only policy. Exploitation requires a workspace owner with an agent token, Enterprise port-sharing policy, and wildcard app hostnames; unauthenticated users can then reach the registered app.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
