Protected-field disclosure via unchecked composite display fields
Published Aug 28, 2026 · Updated Aug 28, 2026
Information disclosure in Graylog Open Server 7.1.0 through 7.1.3 allows remote authenticated users to read protected database fields. EntityTitleServiceImpl builds entity titles from requested composite display fields without verifying that every referenced collection field is readable. Record permissions still apply, limiting ordinary users to permitted records, but exposed values include their password hashes; administrators can retrieve all user hashes.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=>= 7.1.0, < 7.1.4
- Affected versionversion=>= 7.2.0-alpha.1, < 7.2.0-alpha.2
