SQL injection via unescaped metadata filter keys
Published Jul 10, 2026 · Updated Jul 10, 2026
SQL injection in affected LangChain4j MariaDB and pgvector embedding stores allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary SQL. The JSON and column filter mappers concatenate unescaped metadata keys, and MariaDB string values, into SQL used by search and removeAll(Filter). Reachability requires an application to pass attacker-influenced filter keys; successful use enables blind data reads, query delays, or arbitrary row deletion.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=>= 1.12.1-beta21, < 1.16.3-beta26
