Cross-company note access via missing tenant authorization
Published Oct 14, 2026 · Updated Oct 14, 2026
IDOR in InvoiceShelf before 2.4.0 allows remote authenticated users to read, modify, or delete notes via crafted note IDs. NotesController::show, update, and destroy omit the bound Note from authorization, so NotePolicy never checks company_id; the Note model has no global company scope. Ordinary staff note abilities suffice to access another company's sequential identifiers, but the impact is limited to reusable note templates rather than invoice, customer, or payment records.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
