NULL pointer dereference in OpenEXR 3.4.0 through 3.4.12 allows local users to crash an application through the OpenEXRCore C API. The setter checks the outer exr_attr_bytes_t pointer but passes a positive hint length and NULL nested source to exr_attr_bytes_create(), which copies from NULL. Reachability requires an application to supply untrusted or insufficiently validated bytes attribute data; the confirmed consequence is a deterministic process crash, not code execution, disclosure, or a direct crafted-EXR reader trigger.
