Script execution via unsanitized SVG artifact rendering
Published Apr 5, 2026 · Updated Apr 5, 2026
Stored cross-site scripting in Pi 0.58.4 allows remote attackers to run script in the web UI through a crafted SVG artifact. SvgArtifact.ts passes LLM-generated SVG content to unsafeHTML() without sanitization or an iframe sandbox, inserting scripts and event handlers into the parent DOM. Exploitation requires the crafted artifact to be rendered, after which injected code can alter page content and act with the web UI's browser privileges.
