CVE-2026-55251Public exploitNetwork attack vector

CI runner code execution via untrusted pull-request files

Published Oct 1, 2026 · Updated Oct 1, 2026

Code execution in NetBox Community NetBox Device Type Library commits before f41fc1e allows remote attackers to run code via pull requests. The pull_request workflow installs dependencies from PR-edited requirements.txt and executes hooks from PR-edited pre-commit configuration without first checking whether those files came from a trusted contributor. A public fork PR is sufficient, but execution is confined to an ephemeral GitHub-hosted runner with a read-only token and no repository secrets.
