SSRF in Maxim AI Bifrost before 1.5.17 allows remote attackers to make the gateway request internal services via multimodal URLs. The isPublicIP guard in core/providers/utils/fetch.go treats CGNAT, 6to4, NAT64, and site-local addresses as public instead of rejecting them. A Bedrock or Vertex image or document URL is required; reachable targets include internal services and metadata endpoints on compatible networks.
