Arbitrary SQL execution via unbound timezone interpolation
Published Oct 15, 2026 · Updated Oct 15, 2026
SQL injection in MsgByte Tianji before 1.31.29 allows remote authenticated users to read or alter database data through analytics queries. The getDateQuery() function in src/server/utils/prisma.ts interpolates request timezone values into a single-string Prisma.sql() call without parameter binding. Any workspace member, including a read-only viewer, can reach affected queries through request data or the timezone header and access the shared PostgreSQL database across tenants.
