Cross-board writes via unchecked destination identifiers
Published Jul 15, 2026 · Updated Jul 15, 2026
Improper access control in WeKan before 9.37 allows remote authenticated users to write objects into private boards through DDP updates. The update allow rules for cards, lists, and swimlanes authorize the stored source boardId but accept an unvalidated replacement boardId in the modifier. Write access to any attacker-controlled board is sufficient to place objects in a private destination board without membership or read access.
