CVE-2026-55211Public exploitNetwork attack vectorHinoki check available

Process crash via unchecked IRAP dimensions

Published Sep 15, 2026 · Updated Sep 15, 2026

Out-of-bounds read in the IRAP importer in Equinor Surfio before 0.0.19 allows attackers to crash a parsing process with a crafted file. The binary and ASCII importers trust ncol and nrow when sizing the values vector before verifying that the input contains the declared number of floats. Reachability requires a consuming application to parse an untrusted IRAP file; network exposure exists only when that application accepts such files remotely.
