CVE-2026-55188Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Authenticated credential disclosure via missing authorization check

Published Jun 26, 2026 · Updated Jun 26, 2026

Authorization bypass in RustFS 1.0.0-alpha.1 through 1.0.0-beta.8 allows remote authenticated users to read replication credentials. The ListRemoteTargetHandler checks only for request credentials, skips replication or administrator authorization, and serializes BucketTarget access keys, secret keys, and session tokens into the response. Any authenticated account can reach the endpoint for a configured replication bucket; exposed credentials grant only the permissions assigned on the remote target.
