Credential disclosure via unauthenticated cross-origin local API
Published Oct 13, 2026 · Updated Oct 13, 2026
Missing API authentication in Zarestia RClone Manager before 0.2.7 allows remote attackers to read credentials via malicious web pages. Its default daemon startup disables authentication and permits every browser origin to access the local rclone API on loopback port 51900. Exploitation requires an active daemon and a user opening a malicious page; file operations are bounded by the user's local and configured-remote access, and command execution remains unconfirmed.
