Authenticated code execution via unsafe YAML tags
Published Jul 10, 2026 · Updated Jul 10, 2026
Deserialization in affected Spinnaker releases allows remote authenticated users to execute code on Rosco pods through Kustomize bakes. KustomizationFileReader.convert passes a downloaded manifest to SnakeYAML's class constructor, which honors explicit tags and instantiates attacker-selected Java objects. Low-privileged network access and a Kustomize bake are required; successful exploitation executes attacker-controlled code with the Rosco pod's privileges.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
