Authenticated internal network probing via unvalidated feed fetches
Published Sep 28, 2026 · Updated Sep 28, 2026
SSRF in stringer-rss Stringer before commit 75cb0955 allows remote authenticated users to probe internal services via feed URLs. FeedDiscovery passes user-supplied URLs to HTTParty and Feedbag without restricting destinations, and outbound requests follow redirects. Any authenticated account can trigger the fetch; when self-service signup is enabled, a registered user can infer internal host and port availability from response timing.
