Command execution via interpolated pull request branch names
Published Sep 15, 2026 · Updated Sep 15, 2026
OS command injection in wktk conflibot before 1.2.1 allows remote attackers to execute commands through crafted pull request branch names. In src/index.ts, git checkout, git merge, and git format-patch strings interpolate head.ref and pass the results to a shell-capable exec call. A pull_request_target workflow runs automatically for a forked pull request, allowing secret exfiltration and unauthorized repository pushes.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
