CVE-2026-55100Network attack vector

Unintended endpoint access via unencoded identifiers

Published Jul 31, 2026 · Updated Jul 31, 2026

Path traversal and query injection in Kyndryl Hashi Vault JS before 0.5.2 allow remote attackers to reach unintended Vault endpoints. Vault.js concatenates unencoded name, username, group, role, and version values into URL paths and query strings, so traversal segments and separators alter the downstream request. Exploitation requires a consuming application to pass attacker-controlled identifiers, and access is bounded by the application's Vault token.
