Unauthenticated code execution via GraphQL sift filtering
Published Sep 30, 2026 · Updated Sep 30, 2026
Remote code execution in Mozilla Taskcluster before 100.3.0 allows remote attackers to run code through a GraphQL filter argument. The web-server passes the JSON filter to sift, whose $where operator evaluates JavaScript supplied in the filter rather than treating it solely as search data. Exploitation requires a deployment whose anonymous role exposes the affected GraphQL endpoint; execution occurs in the web-server process.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
