CVE-2026-55012

Local code execution via integer overflow

Published Jul 14, 2026 · Updated Jul 14, 2026

Integer overflow in Microsoft Malware Protection Engine before 1.1.26060.3008 allows local users to execute arbitrary code. Microsoft maps the flaw to integer overflow and heap-based buffer overflow but has not disclosed the affected parser or unsafe calculation. Exploitation requires a user to download and open a crafted file, after which attacker-controlled code runs in the engine's security context.
