Code execution via PDSPRJ out-of-bounds write
Published Apr 11, 2026 · Updated Apr 11, 2026
Out-of-bounds write in Labcenter Proteus Design Suite 8.17 SP5 allows remote attackers to execute code through a malicious PDSPRJ file. The PDSPRJ processor insufficiently validates file-controlled data before writing it to an allocated buffer, permitting a write beyond the buffer boundary. Exploitation requires the target to open the file or visit a page that supplies it, and successful execution occurs in the current process context.
