Open redirect via whitespace bypass in /auth/redirect
Published Sep 21, 2026 · Updated Sep 21, 2026
Open redirect in Tautulli 2.17.1 and earlier allows remote attackers to send users to external sites through a crafted link. The unauthenticated /auth/redirect endpoint removes forward slashes from redirect_uri but leaves tabs and line breaks, allowing CherryPy's urljoin processing to resolve the target to an attacker-controlled origin. Exploitation requires a user to follow the link and the default root HTTP_ROOT configuration; custom non-root configurations are not affected.
