Payment bypass via unverified Stripe intent status
Published Jun 25, 2026 · Updated Jun 25, 2026
Missing authorization in Five Star Restaurant Reservations 2.7.19 and earlier allows remote attackers to mark bookings as paid without payment. In valid_payment() in includes/PaymentGatewayStripe.class.php, the plugin trusts a matching posted payment_id without asking Stripe whether the intent succeeded. Exploitation requires Stripe payments and knowledge of a booking and its stored payment-intent identifier; success changes the booking's payment state without a completed charge.
