CVE-2026-54799

Persistent code execution via faulty firmware signature validation

Published Jul 9, 2026 · Updated Jul 9, 2026

Firmware signature validation in Siemens CPCI85 before 26.20 and SICORE before 26.20.0 allows local users to install malicious firmware. The firmware update mechanism accepts attacker-supplied images because its signature validation process does not reject invalid signatures. Exploitation requires high privileges and local access; successful installation gives persistent code execution and compromises the device.
