CVE-2026-54765Network attack vector

Cross-route authorization bypass via backend service-key collision

Published Jul 6, 2026 · Updated Jul 6, 2026

Incorrect authorization in Traefik Proxy 3.7.0 through 3.7.5 allows remote authenticated users to alter backend context via HTTPRoutes. The Kubernetes Gateway provider's loadService function keys child services only by namespace, Service, protocol, and port, so routes with different backendRef filters reuse one filter set. An accepted route must share a Service:port with the victim route; security-sensitive header filters can then cross route or namespace boundaries when a ReferenceGrant permits the target.
