CVE-2026-54762Public exploit

Authentication bypass via fail-open auth-secret handling

Published Jun 23, 2026 · Updated Jun 23, 2026

Authentication bypass in Traefik Proxy 3.7.0-ea.1 through 3.7.4 allows remote attackers to access protected backend routes. In pkg/provider/kubernetes/ingress-nginx/build.go, resolveBasicAuth errors are logged without setting loc.Error, so translation emits a router without BasicAuth or DigestAuth middleware. Exposure requires an Ingress that declares basic or digest authentication and an unresolved or malformed auth Secret; unauthenticated requests can then read backend content.
