Authenticated code execution via translation-block interpolation
Published Aug 27, 2026 · Updated Aug 27, 2026
Code injection in Silverstripe UserForms 6.4.8 and earlier, 7.0.0 through 7.0.6, and 7.1.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute PHP code. The template engine compiles the translation block's default and context strings into double-quoted PHP literals, causing injected variable-variable expressions to be interpolated and evaluated. Exploitation requires CMS access with permission to configure a UserForms email recipient and grants code execution in the server process, exposing application data and service availability.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
