Host command execution via unescaped WSL URL
Published Jun 24, 2026 · Updated Jun 24, 2026
OS command injection in affected Warp WSL builds allows attackers to run commands on the Windows host through a malicious terminal link. The WSL URL-opening fallback passes the raw terminal-derived URL to cmd.exe /c start without parsing, scheme restrictions, or metacharacter escaping. Exploitation requires a user to open the link while wslview is unavailable and WARP_FORCE_WSL_BROWSER is unset; native platforms are unaffected.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=>= 0.2024.03.12.08.02.stable_01, < 0.2026.05.13.09.15.stable_01
