Terminal metadata spoofing via unauthenticated lifecycle hooks
Published Jun 24, 2026 · Updated Jun 24, 2026
Terminal lifecycle-hook spoofing in Warp before 0.2026.05.06.15.42.stable_01 allows remote attackers to alter active-session metadata. The PTY parser accepted state-mutating DCS hooks without requiring a client-generated session ID registered to the active shell integration. Exploitation requires a victim to view attacker-controlled terminal output; forged hooks can replace the active block's working directory or SSH transport metadata and influence features that consume that state.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=>= 0.2021.04.25.23.05.stable_00, < 0.2026.05.13.09.15.stable_01
